Due to COVID-19 and the danger of being in large crowds, we will not be hosting the Azle Community Thanksgiving Dinner in 2020.
Azle Community Thanksgiving Dinner
This event is sponsored by the alliance and hosted by First United Methodist Church. Donations come from the AMA, local church and business leaders along with caring individuals. It’s a project that takes 4 days to prepare and culminates in the feeding of over 500 individuals who otherwise would not have a warm meal while experiencing God’s love for them and their family. Over 75 volunteers are present to experience this opportunity of giving back. New friends are made while new experiences are shared by all.
Azle Community Thanksgiving Dinner 2022
Once again, First United Methodist Church has been asked to host the Thanksgiving dinner sponsored by the churches of the Azle Area Ministerial Alliance and businesses around the community! We are expecting to serve 750 meals and need volunteers for the many tasks at hand. This is a free meal to the community and is a full menu of turkey, ham, and all the fix ins including deserts and drinks. Bring your whole family and enjoy the fellowship and food. To go orders for the home bound are available upon request by calling the church office Monday – Wednesday, 8:30 am to 12:00 pm, 817-444-3323.
Please consider this project in your heart and donate to cover the increase in food pricing and pray the supply train issues we are experiencing will lift soon. Donations can be sent to the AAMA or 1st United Methodist Church marked Thanksgiving in the memo.
Anyone wanting to volunteer should contact Ken Leemon at 817-444-3323.
