Music for Youth

Youth Choir - Sundays at 4:30 - 5:30 pm

Youth Choir meets in the Music Room on the second floor of our church sanctuary building. All youth grades 7-12 are welcome to come. No experience is necessary. The choir attends music festivals, sings for community groups, frequently leads in worship, and often combines with the chancel choir for special music events.

Each year, our Youth Choir learns music to sing during the Baylor YouthCue Festival held at Baylor University in Waco. They spend a wonderful weekend of activities and rehearsals together with 300 other youth from throughout Texas and surrounding states to prepare the music to sing together for worship on Sunday morning and for a Grand Concert on Sunday afternoon accompanied by the Baylor University Symphony Orchestra. It is an unforgettable experience!

Contemporary Youth Worship - Sunday Evenings

We have youth worship every Sunday evening at the end of our youth time together 6:00 - 8:00 pm (see Sunday night youth.) We play a lot of the more modern worship songs at this time. If you play an instrument (guitar, bass, piano, drums, or want to sing) please contact Joseph Cisneroz, Youth Director

Wednesdays

Youth are also invited to participate in Upper Room Ringers, Chancel Choir, or Early Worship Team rehearsals that occur beyond the times for regularly scheduled Youth Activities

Throughout the Year

Youth musicians are invited to sing or play music as soloists or in ensembles in worship and for special events.

Music for Adults

For adults, there are opportunities to sing in our Chancel Choir, to sing or play an instrument in our Early Worship Music Team or Bridge Service Band, and to participate in both vocal and instrumental ensembles for special music throughout the year.

Upper Room Ringers - Wednesdays at 4:45 - 5:30 pm

Upper Room Ringers are an advanced Handbell Choir. They rehearse in the handbell room on the second floor of our church sanctuary building. This choir prepares music for worship and other occasions. They also participate in Handbell Festivals.

Chancel Choir - Wednesdays at 7:00 pm

Chancel Choir meets in the Music Room on the second floor of our church sanctuary building. They prepare music for worship and other events. They sing a variety of different styles of music and prepare and present cantatas and musicals for particular seasons and events during the year. This choir sings during the 11:00 a.m. worship service on Sundays.

Bridge Band - Please email Joseph Cisneroz for rehearsal time

The Bridge Band prepares music for the Contemporary Worship Service that meets at 9:45 am on Sundays and for other events. They meet in the HUB for rehearsals and services.

Early Worship Team - Tuesdays at 5:30 - 6:00 pm

The Early Worship Team prepares music for the Blended Worship service and other events. They meet in the church sanctuary for rehearsal. In this group, there is a worship band of singers, drums, guitars, and keyboard.

If you don’t sing or play an instrument, there is still a place for you! You are welcome to assist with children and youth choir activities. You are also welcome to help with organizing music and helping with our musical productions. We welcome your prayers as we sing and play for God’s glory.

Music Missions

During the year, there are opportunities for musicians of all ages to play or sing music to share God’s love as an outreach to this community and beyond.
